By becoming a member of the League of Women Voters, you lend your support to the idea that our community needs a non-partisan, well-trusted, and long-standing organization to continue providing non-partisan, fair information about candidates and ballot issues.
Become an Carrie Chapman Catt Advisor. You respect the 90 years of nonpartisan civic engagement of the League of Women Voters, and you trust that its historic foundation and continuing force offers opportunities for citizens to participate in promoting political responsibility and empowering citizens to shape better communities.
You want the League to be as successful as possible at the local level. With honorary membership as a Carrie Chapman Catt Advisor, you hold a privledged position in helping to shape the issues the League follows. Your direct input and influence with the Board of Directors of the Jacksonville/First Coast League is highly valued and thoughtfully considered, whether you attend board meetings, or simply phone an officer or director of the Board.

Who are the members?

Membership in the League of Women Voters, the most respected and effective grassroots organization in the country, is open to men and women of all ages.
Our members make a visible difference by serving as community leaders using their experience to create positive, lasting change in our communities.

Why should I join?

Through participation in League projects, you will

make professional contacts and develop lasting friendships as you meet others in League who share your interests

How much time does it take?

It's up to you! Many members choose to support the League only with their annual dues. Your membership alone gives us the political influence needed to build a voice for citizens and a force for change. We cover a broad spectrum of issues and concerns; you may choose to become involved in one or more of them by actively participating in a group study, or listening to a panel of experts at a meeting or just reading about them in one of our publications.

What do I get?

You automatically become a member of LWV Florida and LWV of the United States. You will receive their publications along with the newsletter from the Jacksonville First Coast League of Women Voters called LeaguE News which is usually published 10 times each year . You will have the knowledge that you are adding your voice to a powerful force of members from all 50 states, Washington DC, the Virgin Islands, and Hong Kong.

How do I join?

It's easy! Print and fill out a form, then mail it with a check to us. Contact us at 904-355-8683 or league@LWVjacksonvilleleague.org and ask for a membership packet to be mailed to you.
If you prefer to donate to us without joining our organization, we would appreciate your support.
